How the US Legal System Screws Poor Parents

father-child-in-prisonA system full of flawed logic that winds up hurting children more than it helps them.

by Wendy Paris

Walter Scott wasn’t just a black man in America shot by a police officer; he also was a divorced father. While debate rages about excessive use of police force, his death points to another troubling practice—the incarceration of poor parents for failing to pay child-support.

For the most part, these are not “deadbeat dads”; they’re dead broke dads. Seventy percent of unpaid child support debt is owed by parents with no or low reported earnings, according to the Office of Child Support Enforcement. Their ex-wives often are poor, too. For these families, our punitive child support policies function like a de facto debtor’s prison for fathers. This, at a time when divorce, more broadly, has dramatically improved for many. While family scholars and journalists voice concern about a growing “marriage divide”—the way that marriage has become almost a luxury good attained by the “haves” and eschewed or effectively denied to the poor—a similar sorting is happening with divorce and co-parenting.

On the one hand, celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow seek conscious uncouplings. Upper- and middle-class couples seeking divorce in the US benefit from ever-increasing psychological, financial, and parenting resources. The law itself has improved divorce for many. New legal approaches such as mediation and collaborative counsel can make filing itself a mutually uplifting experience. These forms of “alternative dispute resolution” help adults make good decisions for everyone in the family, and steer clear of the divisive, anger-escalating spectacle of family court. Divorce can be seen as another awkward life passage, one that generates laughs, as on Bravo network’s new show The Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce.

kangaroo courtBut if a family finds itself in court, the system seems stacked against the poor. “Many states have two systems, one for married parents and one for poor people/welfare cases that are funneled through ‘paternity dockets’ where they barely get to say a word,” says Daniel Hatcher, a professor of law at the University of Baltimore and a prolific researcher of and advocate for child support reform. “It’s a tribunal that’s just about child-support and paternity. It’s crowded. Judges are jaded. They face huge case loads.” As the trend toward unmarried parenting continues, especially among the poor, these paternity dockets look to grow even more crowded, meting out rushed decisions to more families.

While in court, a non-custodial parent, usually the father, may have a chance to explain to a busy judge his financial situation—perhaps he’s unemployed and worried about falling behind on rent. In many states, the judge can decide that this father could be earning minimum wage, impute that income to him, and set a custody amount he must pay the mother of his child as a percentage of his potential (that is to say, fictitious) earnings.

great-child-support-incomeMaybe this obligation pushes him to scramble for a job. Perhaps it takes a few months. All the while, the child support debt has been accumulating. Now he has the monthly obligation plus back payment. (This is where the Bradley Amendment kicks in.) Some states terminate parental rights or throw a parent in jail or prison for back child support, or “non-compliance” with court orders. In South Carolina, the court can order the noncompliant father to appear to explain his delinquency, charge him $1,500 in the process, and jail him for up to a year. South Carolina is hardly an outlier. In Texas, a parent can be incarcerated even after he’s paid back his child support debt. (Texas is infamous for overcrowded courts, too. In one court in Harris County, Texas, a court master decided 500 paternity and child support cases in one day.)

Now the father is in jail; for some, like Scott, incarceration means the end of that great (or not so great) job. While in jail or prison, child support debt continues to mount in many states, some of which consider incarceration “voluntary unemployment.” In some states, you can apply for a child support modification while behind bars, but many parents do not know about this option, may find the process confusing, and may not realize their child support debt continues. Studies from a few states show that on average, a parent with a child support case enters jail or prison about $10,000 behind; he leaves owning more like $30,000. This debt is unlikely ever to be paid. The national child-support debt is more than $115 billion.

empty-pockets-robbed-court-orderIn South Carolina, if the non-custodial parent accumulates $500 in back child support while unemployed, the state can suspend or revoke his driver’s license as punishment. Say our unemployed father is a truck driver. Without his license, he’s lost his ability to work, and probably his sense of autonomy as an adult, and his willingness to cooperate with a system that’s working against him. As Scott’s brother Rodney told the New York Times, “Every job he has had, he has gotten fired from because he went to jail because he was locked up for child support. He got to the point where he felt like it defeated the purpose.”

Incarceration also prevents a parent from spending time with his children. Research from a variety of areas shows that when the non-custodial parent spends time with his children, he’s more likely to pay child support. Forty years of research on child development shows that children benefit from having a good relationship with both parents, or parent-type figures. Incarceration yanks a parent right out of a child’s life.

ebt-card-welfareIf a custodial parent—usually the mother—seeks Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF, the program that replaced welfare) or food stamps, both parents are treated like bad children. The mother is required to name the father, establish paternity, and sue the father in court for support, even if they have an in-kind arrangement that’s working. The pursuit of child support can destroy relationships. The money, if he has it, often goes back to the state for supporting the brood, not to his children. Meanwhile, the dads who can’t pay may find themselves in jail or prison, unable to help mom in other ways, such as picking up the kids from school or throwing a ball around on weekends.

The logic flaw baffles the mind, and hurts the heart, especially since about half of the nation’s back child support is owed to the government. In many states, child support collected in the name of the custodial parent receiving government aid does not go to that parent. It goes to the government instead, to pay for the cost of the food stamps of TANF. “The idea is that if we’re supporting this mom, we should be able to go after the dad to recoup this cost,” says Hatcher. “The guidelines don’t really work for these welfare cases at all. Most policy is driven by discussion about cases where both parents are working, middle class families on up; you plug in both parents’ income and then transfer to the custodial parent. That doesn’t make any sense when the money goes to the government.”

How have we arrived at these anti-family policies?

captiveIn the 1980s and ‘90s, the notion of the “deadbeat dad” loomed large in the public conscious, in part because of one spectacularly flawed and widely-cited study—since retracted by its own author—that purported to show divorced mothers subsisting at a third of their former standard of living, while the fathers lived better than ever. For many custodial parents, child support is the road out of poverty. Much child support went uncollected, and enforcement policies were changed to improve the situation. Some policies worked; the Office of Child Support Enforcement today still publishes reports showing continued gains in money collected. Threat of jail was considered a good motivator for delinquent dads, and it may be in some cases.

When it comes to the poor, however, these policies can create more harm than good. Maybe some fathers refuse to pay out of spite, while some mothers actively want their children’s father behind bars, if he’s violent, for example. But as research from a variety of areas shows, most of these poor families are fragile relationships, perhaps begun while very young, both people harboring hope for a future of stability and cooperation, even reconciliation or romance.

scarlet-letter-adulteryOld ideology probably contributes to our current policies as well—a view of faltering families that’s about as enlightened as something out of The Scarlet Letter. In England, Elizabethan Poor Laws of 1601 authorized towns to sue fathers of unwed mothers to reimburse them for assistance provided to their children. Early “bastardy acts” allowed colonies to incarcerate pregnant unwed mothers to protect the state from the financial burden of the child. Today’s laws are not as different as you’d expect. Lurking underneath lies an entrenched view that fathers are the lazy enemies of their own families, and poor mothers, in some way brought this on themselves. (You see this kind of view in the comments section of a recent piece in Concurring Opinions by law professors Naomi Cahn and June Carbone on the child support link in the Walter Scott affair.)

Some of the resources benefitting middle and upper-class divorcing couples help the poor, too. Technology, for example, allows those across the economic spectrum to read about their state’s laws online and access forms without shelling out for a lawyer. Courthouses around the country now have staffed self-help centers to guide pro se litigants (a.k.a. the do-it-yourself divorcees) through the paperwork. Increasingly, lawyers offer “unbundled” services, a consultation on an hourly basis. Most states have parenting classes and workshops for divorcing parents. Surveys show, and casual conversation confirms, wide satisfaction with these workshops.

Scott-police-fatal-shootingBut unmarried parents as a group get fewer resources, and if one parent sues the other in court, the kind of Orwellian child support laws that dogged Walter Scott kick in across the states. The overarching principle is the best interest of the child (a legal myth), but this aim gets subverted in policies that hurt the whole family.

There are solutions, the most promising of which take a problem-solving, rather than punitive approach. In Virginia, child support enforcement workers have begun reaching out to employers to find work for non-compliers, rather than more jail time. The state also has retooled its child support guidelines and begun launching programs aimed at helping poor fathers improve job-hunting and parenting skills. Some states have experimented with assessing child support only if a non-custodial parent has a minimum reserve of income. States, including California and Ohio, have passed statutes requiring the exercise of discretion rather than automatically referring certain child welfare cases to child support enforcement services.

In Maryland, Hatcher has worked on legislation to allow the state to automatically disable child support arrears during incarceration. This reform passed, but is not widely enforced. Hatcher notes that one stumbling block to reform is poor communication between child support enforcement and the criminal justice system.

This problem of poor communication—long the dominion of marriage counselors—is one I’ve seen repeatedly in my own research on divorce. I’d assumed that bad divorces result from a dearth of good ideas, but found instead that there are creative, humane solutions coming from a variety of states and various disciplines— and abysmal communication of them. In divorce, as in marriage, good communication may be the best way to suture a gap.

One Way To Handle A Court

When you go into court what do you find? Here are some general things to consider.

deceptionThe judge sits above everyone else. The judge, prosecutors and accused reside in a fenced area. Today, this is NOT a court room, this is the judge’s or magistrate’s chambers. Judges chambers are wherever they set them up to be, not just the office in the back. Court rooms would be for common law which almost never exists today. This is part of the deception. A “magistrate” is not a judge, who sees you in their chambers, where they can do what ever they want, without the constitution, your natural rights, etc. Why is this corporate representative siting in a raised position? Simply put, from childhood you are taught to look up to “authority”. It’s a pretty intimidating environment designed to engender your respect and obedience. They use words in double meanings just as their environment is also part of an act, a stage. Their words are deceptions as are their practices. In reality, the trial or hearing should be held in a sunken area like a surgeons theater where people look down on the judge and oversee the process.

Always insist first and foremost to be “on the record in a judicial hearing”. This removes the magistrate from doing anything they want with you. If you feel forced into accepting the judges chambers, then you can inform them you are in judges chambers, all parties are equals, they have no political jurisdiction, you are a sovereign spirit present by special appearance and there is no contract. More importantly, when you enter the court room and they call your name, loudly proclaim that everyone present is fired and you are a sovereign spirit there by special appearance. Repeat that at any time. If the magistrate threatens (tries to extort your submission), remind them they are fired and you are in judges chambers instead of a professed court room! A judge can not practice law from the bench. They can’t assign you council or otherwise. Remind them they are fired and you have not and will not give them authority to make and legal/lawful determinations for you. You do not consent. Once presented with their offer of contract, you can state your willingness to accept their offer and negotiate a settlement with them. Asserting your authority ends the controversy and the professed judge is now only working out the settlement. The prosecutor will deal with terms and you can agree on terms. They must provide proof of the contract that obligates you to any of the statutes, including any ‘crimes’ that are listed. There is no contract, nor is there a bond for the transaction.

The main purpose of a professed judge or magistrate is to moderate the conflict between you and the prosecution of the government. They will present you with their shopping cart of ‘charges’ or items on sale. You will notice the dollar sign, dollar amounts attached. You are in a martial law tribunal. This is martial law and you are presumed guilty. This is the summary judgement which holds the charges and the plea in one. It is pure, unadulterated fraud. They have no law, no authority, no contract, only deceptions designed to cultivate your submissive acceptance that what is going on is authority over you. This is a common corporate scam of all modern government designed to make them money.

If you are in a trial situation and given an unfavorable verdict, you are being given an offer of a contract. Promptly, loudly, clearly and politely refuse to accept it. Keep refusing to accept until you are asked what you will accept, then state “dismissal of all charges with extreme prejudice”. You are in a martial law court where the verdict and sentence are an offer. Don’t accept it and don’t settle for less.

Do not ever hire an attorney and if you are assigned one, fire that professed attorney. If you are in court, fire them immediately. The attorney works for the court and are officers of the court. They are the tools of your bondage to a fraudulent system.

Violating Your Rights: It's in the Paperwork!

by E.J. Manning and Samuel Gaddie

As many of you caught up in the U.S. Child Support System know, due process and a just hearing are not really in the cards if the government has its way. The same applies in other nations as well. What is worse is that it feels awful to be exploited even if you aren’t quite sure how this works. Wonder no more. You are being exploited through the misconduct of law. For example, according the Attorney General of Kentucky,

“[Judges go] by the court order, not the work sheet. When I recommend an obligation amount to the court I submit a work sheet and the court then writes an order. It is the amount in the order that get’s put in… [the child support system], not the worksheet. I have a case now where the Judge did not go by the worksheet because of extraordinary circumstances. So the amount in the worksheet and the amount in the order are not always the same. The order has the force and effect of law. The worksheet shows the result of calculations based on the guidelines and income information of the parties. The work sheet provides guidance to the court, but standing alone is not binding or enforceable.”

kangaroo courtWhat the Attorney General fails to reveal or realize is that the child support work sheet of every case is RELEVANT and therefore covered under the full force of Federal Law including HIPAA privacy laws. HIPAA is relevant because the private health information of the child and parent is usually involved, since health care is typically a part support. This is especially important. Why? The States are not walking the fine line of the law. They are candidly violating the very laws just written… to facilitate oppressing you or to gain advantage over you. That is exploitation whether they consider it legal or not. The truth is, as we have briefly spoken, the execution behind the scenes is often illegal based even on judicial precedence, the current basis of the American legal system.

However, it is up to you to speak up about it, to file a complaint and to begin to earn a little respect instead of residing firmly under the thumb of the State, as well as the Feds that aren’t really looking at the letter of the law.

Naturally, “the system” will object. “There would be no reason for the court to transmit the worksheet to the Cabinet. The Cabinet is required to charge accounts based on orders. It cannot charge based on a worksheet.” Yet the worksheet is vital to developing a history and in evidence for any judicial decision. The system can’t have it both ways, even if they think they can. Within the system, this worksheet becomes a valuable electronic tool that contains your personal information, so you can argue that your worksheet is RELEVANT and is fully covered under the law.

The bottom line is this: The truth is that prima facie (“first sight”) fraud can be argued without your obligation worksheet being fully complete. Why? The information entered into the state child support system is inaccurate and incomplete, even voided because of this lack of completeness. This is misconduct within the system, especially since the judge uses this data to decide your case. Because this violates Federal HIPAA law because the health care of a child is involved, this makes matters worse.

It all comes down to this legal fact. The modification of support obligations is calculated based on guidelines.  The guidelines shall serve as a rebuttable presumption for the establishment or modification of the amount of child support.  Courts may deviate from the guidelines if the obligation amount is unjust or inappropriate.  Any deviation shall be accompanied by a written or specific finding on the record specifying the reason for the deviation by the court.

State and Federal law defines how a support obligation is calculated and its relation to the Child Support Guidelines table.  The guidelines table is used along with the Worksheet for Monthly Child Support Obligation to calculate a support obligation. This done electronically through the Obligation Calculations function using data from the obligation worksheet on the electronic input screen. The legal evidence indicates that all documents created by the court must be fully complete and accurate under the law.

The kicker is that the Worksheet for Monthly Child Support Obligation Exception is used only when a parent has 100% of the monthly adjusted parental gross income in many states. (This form also provides a reduction in gross income for the entire amount of health insurance premiums incurred and paid for any child.) The reasoning and documentation of the court and the system does not consider the reality of the non-custodial parent, or even his or her current income, but what it was. Per the Bradley Amendment for Social Security Administration, the court mistakenly assumes that this support will always be the same regardless of the circumstances of the “payor” or non-custodial parent. It does not technically allow for retroactive modification, yet the court often changes child support amounts due when the custodial parent relocates to another state, yet another example of the system failing to follow its own laws.

A modification is difficult, time-consuming and expensive. When you read the fine print, an attorney is required. We aren’t talking about frivolous matters here. We are talking about life: the blood, sweat and tears of American citizens that are held to have certain civil rights. The system is taking them away. Even attorneys are playing into the system. It is up to you to stand up for your rights since nobody else is doing so. The judge is king. Whatever he or she says in an order goes. Since this is clearly the case in U.S. law, the documents that back up must be complete and accurate, and in compliance with ALL Federal Law, including HIPAA. The details matter, but you must look into them. Whether you will continue to be exploited is up to you.

Get a copy of your state Child Support Handbook and get to know it. When you receive communication, be certain that you have timely notification and time for appeal as required by law. You have to be brighter than the data entry specialist sitting at the state child support terminal. Don’t let “the system” get away with ruining your life without having to work hard to do it.

US Child Support: The Loaded Gun

child support loaded gunWhere child support law is concerned skeptics abound. However, the attitude of the court flies in the face of the law ideal that you are “innocent until proven guilty.” You are guilty because the court log says you are. You are late in paying support, no excuses accepted. The nation in the grip of an economic crisis has no bearing in their view on your personal situation. Your ability to afford an attorney even though the cost is prohibitive at best is not their concern. Even after the court has determined that a “payor” has legitimately lost his job or suffered an involuntary decrease in salary for any reason, the court system of oppression is not content. They assume you are a shiftless, lazy, deceptive person that wants to take every opportunity to leach money from others and that you purposefully intend that you will not pay child support unless they squeeze you hard enough. The inquiry into your work condition and personal circumstances never ends once the child support amount is NOT received exactly on time.

The system doesn’t care about your personal difficulties, or even if you have a place to live or the means to get a job to support the government child support industry. However, if you fail to make a payment or do anything that is insisted that you do, you do yourself an injustice by letting them rake you over the coals without any opposition, or without so much as a response or communication. Giving up is giving up on yourself. Negatively speaking, they intend to bring the full burden of law against you if they can, to make the prospect of your life worse. The idea is that they intend fill you with fear, and that fear is what will get you to comply whether you are able or not. They will inquire continually as to what steps the child support “payor” has taken to secure new employment or to address the reduction in income. In other words, once you have a court order for child support, they expect you to pay the full amount no matter what or there will be hell to pay with financial and physical oppression as they deem appropriate. The court will be unsympathetic and skeptical, even when the “payor” has become disabled and cannot work. The contempt the court has for “payors” who were unable to reverse the downturn in their financial position is aptly demonstrated by the trial judge’s choice words for the “payor”:

“The court finds that the defendant has no intention of finding substantial employment in his or any other field. This court finds that defendant has found his niche in this world, in that he is maintaining a high lifestyle without having to work for it. To use the vernacular, he has made it. This court finds that defendant is content to sit back and become a complete human parasite…permitting a succession of fiancées, friends and relatives to provide for him so as to enable him to live in and maintain a lifestyle commensurate with his self-imposed high standard of living, while his children are reduced to the status of virtual beggars. He professes love and concern for them, yet this court finds a complete lack of same. Defendant’s application for modification of child support is denied.” (Harris v. Harris, 235 NJ Super 434 (Ch.Div. 1989)

Proving a legitimate decrease in income is not enough. The “payor” must show that he has actively sought to redress the situation and that he continues to do so:

“[O]ne cannot find himself in, and choose to remain in, a position where he has diminished or no earning capacity and expect to be relieved of or to be able to ignore the obligations of support to one’s family. We do not scold defendant for the loss of his previous job. What we do say is that this apparently able-bodied defendant cannot sit back and allow his child to go without support, while he somewhat complacently waits for a job only in his field.”

In cases where the “payor” has been terminated from his job, the “payor” is expected to provide a list of all employers to which he has applied since the termination. Copies of job applications should be attached as exhibits, together with call back or rejection letters from potential employers. They intend to make your non-compliance and life-reversal as painful and difficult as possible. Business owners who have suffered from decreased business should explain with specificity the steps they have taken to foster new business through advertisement, solicitation, and client incentives, or to decrease business expenses by making across the board cuts. “Payors” who were employed in a specific niche should explain the limitations on their employability and why they may not be attractive to various employers outside their given field. In the event a “payor” totally abandons his prior field and changes careers, the “payor” must be ready to justify this career change as the best alternative under the circumstances, and only after attempting unsuccessfully to find employment in his prior field and at his prior income.

loaded gun

A well-worded acquaintance of mine referred to United States law making in this way: “If a certain ideology wants unauthorized Constitution power, or wants to overcome rights forbidden by the Bill of Rights, then let the faction obtain a consensus and change the law under Article Five. It is unacceptable to use rationalization and sophistry for judicial activist law-making from the bench. It is unacceptable to establish progressive precedence and then capriciously use stare decisis to persist with an unconstitutional agenda.”

As it stands, when deciding modification applications for even the most just purposes, judges will demand more than “conclusory statements” about the state of the economy without any detail as to how the economy has specifically affected a particular applicant’s job or business. You will have to walk the plank. When you find yourself in difficulty, you will find yourself on trial in the face of bad attitudes across the board. You are useless trash to the system because you have not delivered the required demands of the system in place. This and actions like it against American citizens are part of an ongoing eugenics movement that wants to control not only what they view as undesirables, but also to control the children of the nation as much as possible. You may want to live a peaceful life, but that isn’t what they want. They seek to eliminate the slum elements of society or those that refuse to comply eagerly with their demands. They want you to be eager to satisfy their demands. The rights of an American citizen and the protections afforded him or her are ignored, and disregarded wholesale. That is the dark legal world that Americans live in since the advent and corruption of the legal system through the ‘myth of legal precedence.’  The terms of the past is exactly what is required for all time until your obligation is spent. As far as adherents of legal precedence are concerned, you are a slave of the system without a way out, no matter what. After all, it’s your life, not theirs. You exist to be exploited based on whatever terms the system deems fit. Whether this is ‘legal exploitation’ or not matters not a whit. The Constitution no longer matters. We live in a brave new world. That is the legal spawn of the Bradley Amendment and legal precedence.

Parents: Making Less Milks the System

In Entitlement America, The Head Of A Household Of Four Making Minimum Wage Has More Disposable Income Than A Family Making $60,000 A Year

Tonight’s stunning financial piece de resistance comes from Wyatt Emerich of The Cleveland Current. In what is sure to inspire some serious ire among all those who once believed Ronald Reagan that it was the USSR that was the “Evil Empire”, Emmerich analyzes disposable income and economic benefits among several key income classes and comes to the stunning (and verifiable) conclusion that “a one-parent family of three making $14,500 a year (minimum wage) has more disposable income than a family making $60,000 a year.” This excludes benefits from Supplemental Security Income disability checks. America is now a country which punishes those middle-class people who not only try to work hard, but avoid scamming the system. Not surprisingly, it is not only the richest and most audacious thieves that prosper – it is also the penny scammers at the very bottom of the economic ladder that rip off the middle class each and every day, courtesy of the world’s most generous entitlement system. Perhaps if Reagan were alive today, he would wish to modify the object of his once legendary remark.

Almost all welfare programs have websites where you can call up “benefits calculators.” Just plug in your income and family size and, presto, your benefits are automatically calculated. A one-parent family of three making $14,500 a year (minimum wage) has more disposable income than a family that makes $60,000 a year. If the family provider works only one week a month at minimum wage, he or she makes 92 percent as much as a provider grossing $60,000 a year.

The full-time $60,000-a-year job is going to be much more demanding than working one week a month at minimum wage. Presumably, the low-income parent will have more energy to attend to the various stresses of managing a household.

This is great food for thought. Now add child support into the equation on either side. The more promiscuous you are, the more you have the potential to be rewarded if you are benefits dependent. Add disability to the promiscuity and you have a gold mine that is the envy of the third world, comparable to those that work hard for their money. A disabled child is also a great mix for extra pocket cash, especially if that child doesn’t require constant supervision. Children are great money makers in either the entitlement system or the middle class work-off-your-butt model…and the custodial parent or guardian always gets the gold.

A Message to Women: Women, Entitlement & Unhappiness

sick womanUnhappiness is growing like a festering sore in one segment of American society and the media is taking notice. (Surprise) Who is it? It’s women. According to study after study, women across the globe are becoming more and more unhappy. Considering all the gains and power that women have made over the last five decades, a vexing question comes to mind: What in the world is going on with women? One thing is certain, many of them are coming after their men, breaking up families and destroying lives. They are encouraged to do so.

The happiness of women is trending downward as studied in a report by the Wharton School in Pennsylvania. Women have secured greater opportunity, greater achievement, greater influence and control and more money. The decline in their collective state of mind seems to defy logic on all levels.

Since 1972, the U.S. General Social Survey has asked men and women what would seem to be a very simple question: “How happy are you, on a scale of 1 to 3?” The survey includes a representative sample of men and women of all ages, education levels, income levels, and marital status. 1,500 yearly were surveyed for a total of almost 50,000 individuals today. What is revealed?

The drop in happiness is expansive.  The unhappiness remains whether they have kids, how many kids they have, how much money they make, how healthy they are, what job they hold, whether they are married, single or divorced, how old they are, or what race they are. The truth is that women are so unhappy because they continue to focus exclusively on themselves. Women have been trained to think that they can and should have it all without apology. Women are being manipulated by those with an agenda under false pretense in a massive power grab.

Why are women important to media, advocacy and government? “It’s not about you stupid!” It’s all about power and influence and it isn’t yours. The problem is that you believe what you are being told and have decided that it is time that “you get yours”. You are being led down the garden path!

free lunchYou need to think beyond yourself. Chances are, you are just as abused by the world system as your man. So why are you taking everything out on him if he is an otherwise decent fellow? Instead of kicking your partner (partner in crime) in the teeth, rebel against the insanity of the system. Get a new life and get out of your trap, but take care of the ones you love or need to love instead of destroying everyone around you.  If you are in a relationship that works, you need to realize that government agenda and entitlement is not really on your side. There is no free lunch. You are being manipulated. You are being convinced that thinking only about yourself, your private parts or your money is the best thing for you on all levels.

Whatever the case, you need to stop feeling entitled and look closer at that “free lunch”. Anyone that offers you anything that destroys your family or beleaguers your kids will cost you dearly sooner or later. Remember… this is all about money and power. In the end, you will not have the power you think you do…and neither does government. When the people get tired of abuse, things happen. Look at history. Don’t assume that any institution will last forever because in the world of history, no agenda is truly forever.

The family will survive. Be a part of that. Wake up and change your life without destroying your family.
